I am looking for people who enjoy nature and quietness to rent this place. A furnished apartment with two bedrooms, a living/dinning/kitchen area, a shared laundry area, an outdoor side terrace with summer chairs and umbrella; also with a front yard surrounded by green area, flowers and birds; and a small creek crossing the property which provides a lovely running-water sound most part of the year. The apartment is rented as one house, not as separated rooms. The total price is $750 per month, and it includes water, electricity, and wireless internet. Booking Prepayment IS NOT required for booking this property. Cleaning is negotiable.
The apartment is independent. Students may enter and go as they please. The property is very quiet and safe, with plenty green space. It is a secluded peaceful place, perfect to share with another UPeace student and to study, research and meditate.
Most places are very near, just an easy-to-walk (less than a mile) distance from downtown Ciudad Colon (or a taxi can be taken for a very low price ($1.50)) to get to the weekly vegetable “feria” where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables and dairy products; and to supermarkets, banks, post office, park, drug stores, health center, public bus stop and UPeace bus, and much more.

- BOOKING PREPAYMENT: It IS NOT required to book this property.
- ENVIRONMENT and RECYCLING: We care about nature. Protect flora and fauna. Make rational use of our resources (water, electricity). There is a recycling program in our community. Recycling truck comes on once a month. Garbage truck comes on early on Mondays and Thursdays.
- HUMIDITY. Weather in Costa Rica is humid, especially in the rainy season. We recommend not leave any wet laundry inside since they might become ruined. Do not dry clothes inside the house since its humidity will evaporate, but will get stuck inside the house, and your clothes will smell.
- PESTS: Avoid pests inside the house by: not keeping food residues inside the house; keep organic trash outside the house to avoid pests; not leaving food residues on the sink, kitchen or in general in the house.
- HOT WATER: Moderate the use of hot water.
- TOILET: Do not dispose toilet paper or pads in the toilet (our system does not support this type of disposition)
- LIGHTS: Please turn off lights when you are not using them and keep outside lights off after 10 pm.
- SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed inside the house.
- WASHING MACHINE: This appliance is shared so please select a couple of days on the week to allow the landlady to make use the washing machine. Wash clothes when there are enough clothes for a complete cycle. Detergent and conditioner materials, as well as cleaning materials, are part of your own expenses.
- GATHERINGS: They are allowed with moderation. The neighborhood is very quiet. Please keep gatherings or parties no later than 10pm.
- GATE: First (black) gate of the property is always kept open. For security, red gate is always kept close at night, but it may be kept open for some periods during the day.
- “RIGHT OF WAY” (servidumbre) AREA: The area between the black and red gates is just for transit. Parking at this area or at the entrance is not allowed.
