I was a journalist as a correspondent for an international news agency, and I love dealing with people from different cultures and generations. Furthermore, I love the nature and outdoors life. This is my second year as a host for UPeace students, but I have a lot of experience serving foreign guests since it was for 3 years, super hosted by AirBnb in my old house in San José capital.

- 📝Written Comment: Overall Thais's apartment was a great place to live during my time at UPeace. The location is ideal, as it is a short walk from the bus stop, grocery store, and town center. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable and has everything you need (kitchen supplies, bed linens, laundry, grocery cart). I especially liked that my roommate and I each had our own bedroom and bathroom, and the kitchen was spacious enough for us to both cook at the same time.
- There were very few downsides and they had very little affect on our levels of comfort. The first small downside was that the air conditioner is a portable unit that only works in two places (the kitchen or small bedroom), but we rarely felt the need for it since we had a good cross breeze with the windows open. Also, there are no screens on the windows which can be tricky at times with keeping bugs out, but again it wasn't a huge issue most of the year. Lastly, the gate to enter and exit is operated by the security guard so there were a few times we had to wait a little while to get in or out, but as long as you plan accordingly when you have to be somewhere it is usually completely fine!
